In March 2005 Dwelling Place became a reality. Dwelling Place has a two-fold vision of seeing a prayer community raised up in Peterborough through a room open 24-7 for prayer and through training and teaching on prayer. We also have a vision to see a light of prayer over the community and see many peoples lives changed because of prayer.
After being in Peterborough a year Amy Fry, founder of Dwelling Place, had a vision to see a 24-7 prayer room established in the city, where people from every denomination could come and pray. After looking at many different locations she was drawn to the Muslim community. By God’s design she made contact with Lars Pettersen, the pastor of Open Door Baptist Church Harris Street. Previously his church had a number of prophecies that it would be a house of prayer for all nations. Thus two visions came together and Dwelling Place established itself in the former vestry of the church.
Amy is originally from Minneapolis, Minnesota. She received a missions degree from Brownsville Revival School of Ministry (BRSM) in Pensacola, Florida
